LOVE is indeed beautiful but it can also be dark, cold and devastating. This poem speaks of an amorous love that despite its flaws could still elicit its lover’s yearning. But is it possible for love to have another face?
I wish to be bold as to declare that there is another kind of lover. One that does not lend itself to chance, to the paradox of both sides of the coin. One that is not fraught with uncertainty. One that would not have to take your lifetime to untangle its mystery or be lost in its intoxicating prison. More importantly one that does leave your love rejected.
It is a love that is conceived in the fullness of itself. A completeness of Love, a love never cloaked for it is always true. It is a love where you are never exhausted by the selfish demands of your lover. For it loves you not only when you love it back, when you give it what it desires, when you show it what it wants to see, to hear, to touch and to taste.
This singular love loves for the sake of its beloved, for you. No need to prove your love, in this love you can rest. For how can you be exhausted when you rest in the Father’s arms? In the arms of the one who loves you so much HE thought of you and created you. You can rest in this everlasting arms. This love gives your heart the confidence to brave all, to stand firm, and to love all because deep down in the core of your being you know, that YOU ARE LOVED. It is a love requited…always.
